Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house by using a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for nsfas status check matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
